What’s the Mega-G? It’s a brand new car designed, from the ground up, by Racemasters for the Tomy AFX product line. The best feature of the new chassis is it’s low-profile, narrow design. This will allow for a larger variety of today’s popular race bodies to fit the car much better leading to more realistic looking H.O. slot cars. This is an important point to consider since it should translate to increased interest in our hobby/sport. The new Mega-G Cars run on all H.O. scale slot car tracks.

They just arrived! All four of the new Tomy AFX Mega-G Champ cars are now available for immediate shipment. Racemasters decided to make the first body offering a replica of the DP01 Champ Car. It’s a replica of the Dan Panoz formula car run in the final year of the Champ Car World Series in 2007. There are four versions of the DP01 initially released by AFX mounted atop a very long 1.7” Mega-G chassis (there will be a shorter 1.5” version released down the road), the DP01 formula car has beautiful flowing proportions. As you can see from the pictures, this is definitely the best Formula car effort from AFX, Tyco, or Life-Like.
