BRAND NEW 1.5" WHEELBASE MEGA-G COLLECTOR CARS
ARE HERE - Now in Stock!!

They just arrived! All six of the brand new Tomy AFX Mega-G Collector Cars are now in stock. These cars include the brand new 1.5-inch wheelbase Mega-G chassis, complete with new body clip, underneath these very collectible Ford GT40's and Cobra Daytona Coupe. The Miles, McLaren, Gurney, Andretti, and Whitmore GT40's are replicas of the cars that took part in the 1966 LeMans 24-Hour Race. The red Cobra Daytona Coupe is a new offering from AFX featuring clear windows and interior detail.

The first three Ford GT40 bodies listed are re-issues of the Shelby America team cars run at LeMans in 1966. The light blue and black GT40's finished first and second that year but not without a controversial finish. Ken Miles and Denny Hulme piloted the #1 car and thought they had won in a top-3 dead-heat finish. The French officials thought otherwise and declared the black #2 car, driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, the official winner since they had started the race further down the grid and, therefore, covered more ground. The red #3 Shelby-prepped GT40 was driven by American's Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant. They led much of the race before retiring during the 18th hour.

The other three new Tomy AFX releases feature their new clear body technology where the bodies are painted, using the usual process, but the windshields remain clear. This allows some visual interior detail which is handled by installing a printed paper which mimics the real detail in the real car (i.e. seats, spare tires, carburetors, etc.) With clear windows being a part of the body, there’s no need for a separate, bulky, glued in part. It does make quite a visual difference.

All of these new Tomy AFX cars ride on top of the brand new 1.5" wheelbase Mega-G chassis. The chassis is pictured above and, as you can see, features a slightly shorter wheelbase than the DP01 Formula Mega-G cars launched last year. Otherwise, it's the same car but utilizes a new body clip so full-width bodies can be snapped onto the Mega-G chassis. All of these new Mega-G Collector Series cars are in stock and available for immediate shipment.

Note:
Don’t forget all of these beautiful GT40 bodies, as well as the Daytona Coupe, will snap directly onto a BSRT G-Jet making for even more realistic racing.

NEW TOMY AFX "CLEAR" FORD GT40’s, CHAPARRAL 2D,
and COBRA DAYTONA COUPE SRT CARS

Along with the new Mega-G formula cars, Racemasters has also released four new bodies in their Collector line of SRT cars and we've got them in stock now! The four bodies on these cars are unique in that they started life out clear. The clear body is then painted, using the usual process, but the windshields remain clear. This allows some visual interior detail which is handled by installing a printed paper which mimics the real detail in the real car (i.e. seats, engine detail, etc.)

As for the four new releases, these are pretty sweet. First off, there’s two new versions based on their very popular Ford GT40 body. AFX part #9074 is a replica of the #6 GT40 that Mario Andretti and Lucien Bianchi ran at LeMans in 1966. This was one of the Ford team cars entered by the American Holman-Moody team more commonly known for their NASCAR expertise. The other GT40 (part #9075) is the yellow #8 car driven by John Whitmore (he would become “Sir” John Whitmore much later) and Frank Gardner. This was an English-based Ford team run by Alan Mann that also ran at LeMans in 1966.

In addition to the GT40’s, there’s also a new Cobra Daytona Coupe (part #9072) and a new Chaparral 2D (#9077). The #13 Daytona Coupe competed in the 1965 World Endurance Championship and driven by Jo Schlesser and Hal Keck. It was later driven by Dan Gurney and, because of car #13’s slightly higher roofline (a mistake during the car’s construction), Gurney preferred driving this Daytona Coupe over any of the others. There's also a brand new #9 Chaparral 2D entered and campaigned by Jim Hall during the 1966 World Endurance Championship. This car is a replica of the 2D driven by American Phil Hill and Jo Bonnier to a win at the 1966 Nurburgring round of the World Championship. All of these new "clear" SRT Collector Series cars are in stock and available for immediate shipment.

Note: Don’t forget all of these beautiful Collector "clear" bodies will snap directly onto a BSRT G-Jet making for even more realistic racing.

NOW IN STOCK!
NEW TOMY AFX TRI-POWER PACK

While not quite carrying the same weight as the new Mega-G car, AFX’s Tri-Power Pack is still an important new product release. Ever since Aurora stopped production of their two-screw transformer power packs decades ago, all AFX sets have been down on power. The most common complaint is that one car will speed up when the other car comes off. While the voltage rating was high, the problem was always a lack of amperage. That’s all been taken care of with their new Tri-Power Pack. Of even more importance, there’s now three different voltages you can set the power pack to including 22 volts, 12 volts, and 8 volts. At all three voltages, there’s a full 1-amp on hand, just like the original Aurora two-screw transformers. With a standard Tomy terminal track plug attached to it, H.O. enthusiasts will now be able to switch between running magnet cars on 22-volts and BSRT’s very popular G-Jet™ on 12-volts. It’s as simple as flipping a switch. The new Tri-Power Pack is a very important new product for the entry level racing crowd. The Tri-Power Pack is part #8822P and is now IN STOCK ready for immediate shipment. The price for the AFX Tri-Power Pack is $29.95.

MARCHON MR-1 COLOR COLLECTOR’S GUIDE
In 1988, Marchon introduced their new brand of H.O. slot car sets and accessories known as MR-1 which stood for Marchon Racing 1. While never attaining the market share of a Tomy AFX or Tyco, they were, nevertheless, another player in the annuals of H.O. slot car racing. Chris Lukasiewicz has put together a comprehensive full-color collector’s guide to the Marchon product line, including set cars, individual cars, Empire Industries offerings, and cars licensed by Scalextric for their product line. All H.O. slot car collectors should have this guide in their H.O. library. Ask for Book #115 when ordering The Collector’s Guide to Marchon MR-1 Slot Cars. Price on this color guide is $17.95.

BSRT TWO-STAGE WHEEL/GEAR PULLER
One of the slickest tools BSRT has ever released is their Two-Stage Wheel/Gear Puller. The original batch of these tools they produced sold out so quickly it’s taken some time to get them back in stock again. We’re happy to say they’re back and available for immediate shipment. One of the most versatile tools available for H.O. slot racing. If you’d like your own, order BSRT part #HT379 which sells for $39.95.

NEW BSRT G3-R NEO TRACTION MAGNETS
The BSRT G3 car has always dominated the drop-in Neo class of racing but the traction magnets, in the past, have only been available for the G3 chassis. BSRT has rectified that situation by releasing a replacement version that fits the current G3-R chassis. Since any traction magnet that fits the G3-R chassis also fits the G3, this new release carries the same BSRT part #979 and replaces the previous G3-only version. Readily available, the current price for the G3-R Neo Traction Magnets is $25.00 a pair. We also have BSRT’s super lightweight Neo Motor Magnets, designed to fit both the G3 and G3-R chassis, back in stock at $50.00 a pair. BSRT’s lightweight Neo Motor Magnets are part #978.

BSRT G3 "TWISTED BRUSH" ENDBELLS
BSRT is now offering their “Twisted Brush Endbells” for their G3 platform cars. These endbells are unique in that the motor brushes have been turned 90-degrees which achieves a couple things. First off, the natural arc of the motor brush is now running the same direction as the arc of the commutator on the armature. Second, there’s now a larger brush contact patch on the comm which gives your G3-platform car more torque out of the corners. So, why don’t all endbells come with the brushes turned 90-degrees in the first place? Actually, there’s a couple good reasons. One of the best features of the G-platform is how robust and long-lasting the endbell actually runs which is much longer than the comparable round brushes found in Tyco-platform cars. Also, by starting out with a smaller contact patch before the brushes are broken in, stock cars will last much longer out in the real world due to less arcing. For clued-in racers, which is why you’re connected to this site, it’s all about performance and BSRT’s Twisted Brush Endbells provide just that. Right now, they’re available in two flavors. Part number HT098 includes a Twisted Brush Endbell with a precision-reamed stock bushing which sells for $7.00. Part number HT097 includes a Twisted Brush Endbell but with one of BSRT’s latest plastic endbell bushing’s (part #HT082). The HT097 Endbell sells for $10.00.

NEW BSRT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CLEANING PEN
Replacing their existing pickup shoe cleaner, BSRT is now offering a new “pen” cleaner that works even better. It’s a fiberglass cleaner pen that does a very efficient job of cleaning up all your electrical system parts. The cleaning pen is threaded so you can constantly turn more material out as it’s used up. As a special bonus, every cleaning pen comes with a spare cleaner inside the pen barrel. BSRT part number HT391, their Electrical System Cleaning Pen sells for $6.95.

NEW BSRT G3 ENDBELL TOOL
One of the “must-have” tools in your slot car box is BSRT’s G-platform Endbell Tool which is now back in stock. As BSRT does so often, they’ve improved upon the original design of their popular G3 endbell tool so it now has a provision for pressing out the bushing in the endbell itself. They’ve also made the basic design in a hexagon shape and have extended the prongs so it’s even easier to work with now. The added ability to press out the motor bushing is frosting on the cake. You simply spread the brush system apart (with the endbell tool) and thread in the supplied screw assembly which will press your existing bushing right out of the assembly. For those of you that have never owned one of these slick tools, it allows you to easily spread apart the brush system in every BSRT G3 car as well as the extensive line of Tomy AFX Super G-Plus, SRT, and Turbo cars. BSRT part number HT394, their new updated Endbell Tool sells for $12.95.

BSRT CHASSIS SET-UP TRACK SECTION
BSRT has worked up a short run of a precision-machined aluminum track section with track rails in place and a viewing window. This aluminum track section has been precision-machined so the track rails sit at the correct height matching the rail specs of today’s top H.O. slot car track builder, Brystal Track Systems in Canby, Oregon.  The viewing window sits in the middle of the track section where you would place your car. The window is machined so it gives you the ability to see exactly where your car sits in relation to the height of the track rails. This, in turn, gives you the opportunity to adjust your car’s tires to the perfect height off the rails at each corner of the chassis. Only a limited number of these test track sections have been produced by BSRT so don’t miss out if you’re interested. BSRT’s Chassis Set-Up Track Section is part number HT396 and sells for $35.00.

BSRT THREADED BODY POST INSTALLATION TOOL
Here’s another brilliant tool design by BSRT that makes life much easier when installing their #HT161 Threaded Body Posts into their G3 or G3-R chassis; BSRT’s Threaded Body Post Installation tool. This handy tool makes it really easy to hold, and screw-in, BSRT’s extremely popular 2-56 threaded aluminum body posts. The advantage of threaded body posts is one of the best design features of the G3 car. They allow you to easily switch from running a snap-on hard plastic body to installing body posts and the improved performance a vacuum-formed body offers. Part number HT399, BSRT’s Threaded Body Post Installation Tool sells for $7.95.

BSRT RELEASES SUPER TOUGH GUIDE PIN FOR THE G3/G3-R
With the speed of today’s high-performance H.O. slot cars increasing daily, an often overlooked performance part is the simple guide pin. In their never ending quest to improve even the most basic speed parts, BSRT has released a precision machined guide pin using a special material designed to hold up to the rigors of today’s high-performance H.O. slot cars utilizing magnetic downforce. Finished off with a special yellow coating, BSRT’s new Super Tough Guide Pin fits all G3 and G3-R cars. Part number HT167, BSRT’s Super Tough Guide Pin carries a price tag of just $2.50.

BSRT CROWN GEAR DRILL FIXTURE
BSRT is now offering a precision machined steel fixture indexed so you can drill an 8-hole pattern in their line of crown gears. The large center hole is sized to fit the crown gear hub, which locates the fixture, and makes it easy to line-up and drill the lightening holes in the crown gear using the supplied 1/16th drill bit. Works on all BSRT crown gears. Part number HT368, BSRT’s Gear Drill Fixture sells for $24.95.

BSRT AST REAR RIM DRILL FIXTURE
How do you improve BSRT’s AST rear tires when they’re already the best tire on the market? About the only thing you could possibly do is lighten the rim. Now that’s possible with BSRT’s new AST Rear Rim Drill Fixture which is designed to fit their line of AST rear rims. The large center hole is sized to fit the rear rim hub, which locates the fixture, and makes it easy to drill a five-hole pattern in the rim using the supplied 1/16th drill bit.  Works on BSRT’s AST rims .320” in diameter or larger. Part number HT366, BSRT’s Rear Rim Drill Fixture sells for $19.95.
